# Cruisr Privacy Policy

**Effective date:** August 25, 2026

Cruisr is operated by **FareBrothers, LLC** ("Cruisr," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you use the Cruisr mobile applications, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

## 1. Information We Collect

### Information you provide

- **Account and profile information:** email address, username, display name, biography, profile photo, city, state or province, postal code, country, region, time zone, unit preferences, password hash, and privacy settings.
- **Vehicle information:** vehicle nickname, year, make, model, VIN, engine details, modifications, mileage, ownership history, photos, parts, maintenance records, costs, notes, and related links.
- **Content and communications:** posts, comments, reactions, messages, group activity, reports, event information, invitations, RSVPs, venue submissions, emergency-contact information you add to an event, and other content you submit.
- **Support and safety information:** information included in support requests, content reports, account-recovery requests, and communications with us.

Please do not submit information about another person unless you have permission to do so. Avoid placing sensitive personal information in public posts, event descriptions, vehicle notes, or messages.

### Driving, location, and motion information

When you enable trip recording or automatic drive detection, Cruisr may collect precise location and driving data, including latitude, longitude, altitude, timestamp, horizontal accuracy, speed, heading, route points, trip duration, distance, stops, and motion or activity signals. Depending on your settings and permissions, collection may continue while the app is in the background.

Exact trip routes and trip start and end coordinates are intended to remain private to the account owner. Summary information, such as distance, duration, achievements, or leaderboard results, may be visible to others according to your privacy settings.

### Device and technical information

We may collect device platform, push-notification tokens, session and security tokens, IP address, request timestamps, app version, error information, and server logs. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

### Optional device features

- **Photos:** if you choose a photo, Cruisr accesses the selected image to upload it to the Service.
- **Calendar:** when you choose to add an event, Cruisr writes that event to your selected device calendar. Cruisr does not currently upload your existing calendar contents.
- **Bluetooth and OBD-II:** when you choose to connect an OBD-II adapter, Cruisr may read supported diagnostic data from the adapter. Cruisr currently performs read-only requests and does not support ECU writes, coding, adaptations, or clearing trouble codes. OBD-II data is not currently uploaded unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise before collection.
- **Geocoding and maps:** address and location searches may be processed by the mapping or geocoding services provided by your device platform.

## 2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

- create, authenticate, secure, and support accounts;
- record, store, synchronize, summarize, and display trips;
- provide profiles, vehicles, social features, groups, messaging, events, venues, achievements, and leaderboards;
- apply privacy choices and enforce blocks;
- deliver service, account, safety, and social notifications;
- prevent fraud, spam, abuse, unauthorized access, and unsafe use;
- investigate reports, enforce our Terms, and protect users;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve performance and reliability;
- comply with law and respond to valid legal requests; and
- communicate with you about the Service.

Cruisr does not currently sell personal information or use third-party behavioral advertising.

## 3. How Information Is Disclosed

We may disclose information in these circumstances:

- **According to your choices:** profile details, posts, vehicle information, statistics, achievements, group activity, event activity, and other content may be visible to other users or the public based on the feature and your privacy settings.
- **Service providers:** vendors may process information for hosting, database storage, media storage, push notifications, security, email delivery, mapping, and technical operations. They may use information only to provide services to us under appropriate contractual restrictions and must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this Privacy Policy.
- **Safety and legal reasons:** we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.
- **Business changes:** information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
- **With your direction:** we may disclose information when you ask or consent.

Public content and information shared with other users can be copied or redistributed by those users outside Cruisr. Privacy settings cannot control information someone has already saved or shared.

## 4. Storage and International Processing

Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Media may be stored using Cloudflare R2, notifications may be delivered through Apple Push Notification service or the applicable device platform, and application data may be stored in PostgreSQL infrastructure operated by us or our hosting provider.

## 5. Retention and Account Deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law.

You can request an export or permanently delete your account through the available account settings. When account deletion is completed, we delete the account and personal information associated with it from our active systems, including profile and credential information, device tokens, trips and route points, vehicle records, posts, comments, messages, media, and account relationships. We also direct service providers to delete copies they maintain on our behalf.

We make reasonable efforts to delete all associated personal information. We may retain limited information only where reasonably necessary for:

- transaction and system integrity;
- fraud, abuse, moderation, and safety investigations;
- legal obligations and the establishment or defense of claims;
- protecting the rights, safety, and security of Cruisr, our users, or others.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in disaster-recovery backups. Backups are isolated from ordinary use and deleted or overwritten according to our standard backup lifecycle. If a backup containing deleted information is restored, we will reapply the deletion before returning the restored data to ordinary use.

An individually deleted trip may remain recoverable for up to 30 days. Permanently deleting your account removes trips from active systems rather than placing them in that recovery period. Where applicable law requires deletion sooner or gives you additional rights, we will honor those requirements.

## 6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. You may exercise available controls in the app or contact us at **support@farebros.com**. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You can also:

- change profile and content visibility settings;
- block or unblock users;
- change notification settings or device permissions;
- stop background location collection by disabling automatic tracking or changing system permissions; and
- delete content where the applicable feature provides that control.

Disabling location or motion permissions will limit trip recording and automatic drive detection.

## 7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

## 8. Children

Cruisr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

## 9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, venues, products, maps, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

## 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. When required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
